Hanover picked third in HCLC Men's Lacrosse Preseason Poll

The Heartland Collegiate Lacrosse Conference announced the results of the 2023 men's lacrosse preseason poll on Thursday afternoon with the Panthers landing third overall.

 

Hanover collected 38 points in the poll while Colorado College took the top spot with 49 points and seven first place votes. Southwestern finished second with 42 points and one first place nod while Anderson rounded out the top half with 28 points.

 

The Blue and Red also landed six on the HCLC preseason athletes to watch list in senior Dirk Meinhart (Elizabethtown, Ky.), junior Nick Adams (Whiteland, Ind.), junior Cole Finley (Louisa, Va.), junior Will Slover (Versailles, Ky.), sophomore Scott Dues (Louisville, Ky.) and sophomore Alex Kleinhelter (Fishers, Ind.).

 

Hanover advanced to the HCLC tournament in 2022 after posting a perfect mark in HCLC regular season action. They finished the year with a 10-5 overall mark. The 2023 season is set to open on Saturday, Feb. 11 welcoming Centre College.
