Tell City High School recently issued the following announcement.

DAILY ANNOUNCEMENTS

FRIDAY, APRIL 8

South Spencer topped Tell City in a home golf match yesterday. Tell City shot a 193 and South Spencer a 170. The Marksmen were led by Evan Noble with a 41, followed by Dax Huff with a 48, Noah Hoesli 50, and Wyatt Kreilein a 54. Also playing for the Marksmen was Sigurd Wemmelund.

The JH boys and girls track teams started their season off two victories last night against Southridge. The boys won 95-24 and the girls won 60-54.  First place finishers for the boys were Camden Ames, Dewayne Rapier, Zeke Zuelly, Ben Fortwendel, Lucas Beier, Drew Schroeder.  First place finishers for the girls were Olivia Farber, Lexi Lain, Lydia Hollinden, Callista Kreig, Ally Franchville, Ollie Toothman, and Hadley Hayko.  The teams’ next meet is Monday at Perry Central.

Five classes should report to the auditorium today.  They are Mr. Mac Webb, Mr. Malin Webb, Mr. Hahus, Mrs. Edmondson, and Mrs. Weyer.  

Sports activities today include varsity girls tennis here with Princeton at 5:00, varsity and JV baseball here with Perry Central at 5:00 and 7:00, and HS softball here with North Posey at 5:30.  On Saturday, the HS softball team will play at Paoli, varsity girls tennis at Mt. Vernon, and JV baseball here with South Spencer at 1:00.  

April is Child Abuse Prevention Month. If you suspect abuse or neglect, please call the Indiana Department of Child Services Abuse/Neglect Hotline at 1-800-800-5556.  Counselors and social workers are available in student services to assist students with these concerns. Please email or set up a meeting time with a counselor or social worker if you have questions or concerns on this topic.

Today in the Red Apple Inn, the Type A meal is cheese pizza, corn, pineapple, and milk.
